moon (sOmam) of the Ocean (jaladhi) of the hearts (hRdaya) of all (sakala) pious people (sujana),
who delights (abhirAmam) the mind of sItA – daughter (sutA) (sutAbhirAmam) of King janaka.

charming (sundara) faced (mukham),
lotus (aravinda) eyed (nayanam),
who is like indra (purandaram) to mountains (parvata) in destroying sins (agha bRnda) of devotees,
sinless One (anagham),
praised (nutam) by sanandana – mind-born son of brahmA,
Ocean (jaladhim) of bliss (Ananda),
whose character (caritam) is extolled (vandita) by Lord Siva - well adorned (su-bhUshaNa) with snakes (ahi bRnda).

1 – Pallavi - In some books, ‘rAkshasa kula bhImam bhajEham sadA’ also forms part of pallavi.
